The World Cement Association announced the topics for this year’s WCA World Cement Conference, in association with Intercem. The focus will be on the “Future for Cement Industry,” following a reshaping of the industry caused by digitalization, new regulations and barriers of entry as well as dramatic changes in supply and demand patterns within the sector.
Experts will also discuss the growing role China has within the sector and the effects of the trade wars on the global cement industry. The conference, will take place at the Royal Garden Hotel in London on Dec. 5.
“We are very excited about the level of enthusiasm we have received from speakers, sponsors and attendees for this unique WCA World Cement Conference. We look forward to bringing together all the cement producers in the world regardless of their size or origin for a substantive discussion of real-world solutions to key issues facing the cement industry today including our Climate Change Action Plan,” said Song Zhiping, president of the WCA and chairman of the world’s largest cement company CNBM-Sinoma.
The conference will host distinguished panelists and speakers, including business leaders, investors and policymakers. Like last year, the WCA will hold its General Assembly on the morning of the day of the event.
